Rent and Share enables rental transactions between renters (people or organisations renting items) and sharers (people or organisations renting out items).

Rent and Share imagines a world where goods are no longer bought at significant cost only to be stored and gather dust, never to be used again. Instead we imagine a world in which experiences are valued more than possession of goods - a world where we can all be wealthier if we simply share more and own less. Together we have so much more. 3. What is the "Share" in Rent and Share all about?
Share (rent out) your items with Rent and Share if you want to:
  • Free up space in your home and earn extra income by renting out your rarely used items
  • Expose your rental business to many potential new clients
  • Provide your sales-oriented business with a new income stream by renting out some of your existing items
To share (rent out) items you need to register and then click on the "Rent Out Item" tab.
4. What is the "Rent" in Rent and Share all about?
Rent items with Rent and Share because:
  • Renting is cheaper and lower-risk than purchasing and you can use much more for the same amount of money than through conventional ownership
  • You sometimes only realise after using an item that you do not really want to buy it
  • You may sometimes only need a specific item for a couple of days
  • You may not have space to store something but really want to try it, all of which makes renting a much more attractive option
  • Rent and Share facilitates easy price comparisons
5. What does it cost to use Rent and Share?
For the most part the use of the website will not cost you anything. The following is free:
  • Registering with Rent and Share
  • Listing items
  • Searching for items
Rent and Share does however charge the sharer (the person or organisation renting out the item) a nominal fee of R5 per accepted order. The renter (the person or organisation renting the item from the sharer) is not charged any fee by Rent and Share.
Sharers will charge renters for the use of their items.
6. What items can be listed on Rent and Share?

Rent and Share only enables transactions. The renter and sharer waive any rights, expectations and claims they may have against Rent and Share. Rent and Share accepts no responsibility and no liability for disputes between parties nor for damages, whether financial, material, physical, legal or of any other nature.
We encourage all renters and sharers to always be highly ethical, reasonable and fair in all their dealings with each other. We reserve the right to ban from the website, any renters and sharers who are not perceived to be highly ethical, reasonable and fair in all their dealings with each other.

• Search listed items or browse rental items by category and then enquire online about any item you find that you want to rent for a specific period - simply register and then click on "Enquire Now".
• List a wanted item if there is anything you want to get a couple of online quotes on to compare - simply register and click on the "Item Wanted" tab.
Share (Rent Out) Items
• Expose your rental business to many potential new clients and even provide online quotes to clients who want to rent something you have available.
• Free up space in your home and earn extra income by renting out your rarely used items.
